Madhav Kumar Nepal alleges conspiracy against CPN (Unified Socialist)
KATHMANDU: Madhav Kumar Nepal, the leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist), has expressed concerns about a potential attempt to undermine his group. He did not name the probable perpetrator of the alleged scam, but he cautioned party officials and members to exercise caution when speaking at a Central Committee meeting.
Nepal has previously accused KP Sharma Oli, the CPN-UML head and current prime minister, of wanting to break the CPN (Unified Socialist). With Oli's recent nomination as prime minister, these worries have grown more acute, raising concerns about internal party strife.
Dissatisfaction has been evident among party members, with leaders like Kisan Shrestha and Prem Kumar Ale voicing their discontent. Reports suggest that Ale and other lawmakers are considering alternative political options. Notably, the CPN (Unified Socialist) was itself formed from a split with the CPN-UML.
