HoR to review key bills and reports in today's meeting
KATHMANDU: Today at 1 pm, the Federal Parliament's House of Representatives (HoR) will convene. The presentation of findings and updates from several parliamentary committees is one of the main agenda items.
Bimala Subedi, Chairperson of the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee, will deliver the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (Third Amendment) Bill of 2081, as well as the Committee's report on the inquiry of missing persons. This amendment bill is critical for addressing concerns about missing persons and reconciliation activities.
Chairman of the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee Amar Bahadur Thapa will present the "Annual Report of the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee, 2081," and the chairman of the Infrastructure Development Committee, Deepak Bahadur Singh, is anticipated to turn in the "Annual Report of the Infrastructure Development Committee 2080."
Speaker Devraj Ghimire will also read a letter from the President's Office outlining recent modifications to the ministerial roles and the changes in the order of rank within the Council of Ministers.
