Dr. Mukul Dhakal urges party to cut ties with Rabi Lamichhane Club
KATHMANDU: Dr. Mukul Dhakal, the suspended General Secretary of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has urged the party to distance itself from the Rabi Lamichhane Club. In a recent social media address, Dhakal proposed three main suggestions to sever ties with the club, stressing the importance of responsibility and ethical behavior.
Dhakal asserted that the RSP should prioritize nationalism, transparency, and accountability, and focus on establishing alternative power structures. He recounted his expulsion from the party, which he claims was executed unlawfully and in a covert manner after he declared his intention to reform the party.
Seeking justice from the Election Commission, Dhakal criticized the Lamichhane Club for allegedly aligning with political figures like Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and KP Oli and engaging in negotiations with Sher Bahadur Deuba for the Prime Minister position. He has suggested that these actions have led to claims that he is being manipulated by the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, and the Maoist Center.
