Deputy PM Raghubir Mahaseth appointed acting PM in PM Dahal's absence
President Ram Chandra Poudel has nominated Raghubir Mahaseth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, as temporary Prime Minister in the absence of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. PM Dahal departed for Delhi on Sunday afternoon to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is scheduled to come back to Nepal on June 10.
In his absence, Deputy PM Mahaseth will assume the responsibilities of the Prime Minister. This appointment ensures continuity of leadership and governance during PM Dahal's visit to India for the swearing-in ceremony.
