SoftBank will purchase Paytm's share in Japan's PayPay: Report
One97 Communications, Paytm's parent company, is near to finalizing a $250 million (around Rs 2,000 crore) bargain to offer its stake in Japan's digital payments firm PayPay Corporationto SoftBank Group.
A Moneycontrol report, which to begin with broke the news, expressed that the deal would increment Paytm'scash saves from over Rs 10,000 crore to Rs 12,000 crore.
Paytm entered the Japanese advertise in 2018 through an organization with PayPay Corporation, a joint ventures between SoftBank and Yahoo Japan, to give QR code-based payment solutions.
Notably, PayPay was in the news final year for investigating a US posting to take advantage of higher valuations.
Paytm did not comment on the story.
Earlier this year, Paytm divested its excitement ticketing stage, Paytm Insider, to Zomato for Rs 2,048 crore. The company’s stock has appeared exceptional development, coming to a 52-week tall on December 5. The company was recorded on the stock trade in November 2021.
