PM Oli to hold press conference on flood response and UNGA achievements at Singha Durbar today
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to speak to the media today at 4 PM in Singha Durbar's Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. So, on Monday, after the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), he went back to Nepal.
During the press conference, PM Oli is expected to discuss the government's action plan in response to the recent floods and landslides that have affected several parts of the country. The immediate demand for catastrophic relief and recovery operations is probably going to be fulfilled by this plan.
Apart from talking about floods and landslides, PM Oli will also give an update on his participation in the UN General Assembly and its accomplishments. This covers any agreements or alliances established during the function.
It is expected that the press conference will give the public significant updates on the government's response to disasters as well as its foreign engagements after the UNGA.
