Government declares 3-day national mourning for over 200 lives lost in recent floods and landslides
The government has declared a three-day national mourning to honor those who lost their lives as a result of the tragic events that happened on September 27 and 28. The national flag of Nepal will fly at half-mast during this time.
The decision was made by the Council of Ministers, who also expressed the grief of the country for the horrific loss of life and property caused by the natural calamities.
According to Home Ministry spokesman Rishiram Tiwari, 217 people have died and 28 are still missing as a result of the disasters.
