The first CoPilot Plus mini PC with Intel's new Core Ultra 9 processors
Asus has unveiled the Asus NUC 14 Pro AI, a cutting-edge mini PC designed to support Copilot Plus, Microsoft’s AI assistant. Featuring an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, the device boasts a sleek, compact design reminiscent of a black M4 Mac Mini. Originally introduced at IFA in September, Asus has now shared additional details about its specifications, although pricing and availability remain undisclosed.
The NUC 14 Pro AI will be offered in five configurations, ranging from the Core Ultra 5 226V processor paired with 16GB of integrated RAM to the top-tier Core Ultra 9 288V processor with 32GB of RAM. Its M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 x 4 slot supports storage capacities between 256GB and 2TB NVMe SSDs.
Despite its powerful specs, the device maintains an impressively compact form factor, measuring just 130mm in both depth and width, and only 34mm in height. For comparison, the Mac Mini measures 127mm in depth and width but is taller at 50mm. The NUC 14 Pro AI includes several notable features: a fingerprint sensor on the top and a dedicated Copilot button on the front, enabling users to issue voice commands to Microsoft’s AI assistant. The front panel also houses two USB-A ports, a Thunderbolt 4 port, a headphone jack, and the power button. On the back, users will find a 2.5Gbps Ethernet jack, another Thunderbolt 4 port, two additional USB-A ports, and an HDMI port. For wireless connectivity, the mini PC supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
While the specifications are impressive, Asus has yet to reveal the launch date or price for the NUC 14 Pro AI. Fans of compact, AI-enhanced computing will have to stay tuned for further announcements.
