Paddy production has decreased in Bagmati province
Paddy production has dropped in the Bagmati territory this year. Concurring to the Bagmati Territory Agriculture Improvement Directorate, paddy generation has decreased by 1.37 per cent due to surges and landslides activated by the rain on final September 27-28.
In the current monetary year, paddy plantation was done in 105,415 hectares of arrive in Bagmati Territory where 408,316 metric tons have been created at the rate of 3.87 metric tons per hectare, concurring to Nabin Kunwar, farming financial specialist at the Directorate.
In the past monetary year 2080/81 BS, paddy was developed in 109,151 hectares of arrive where 413,988 metric tons were created. According to Kunwar, paddy production has increased in Chitwan, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, and Nuwakot this year compared to last year.
Chitwan, the biggest paddy developing zone in Bagmati territory, has created 98,355 metric tons of paddy at the rate of 4.15 metric tons per hectare in 23,700 hectares this year.
