Adaptive timeout in Android 15
According to a report by 9to5Google , the Android 15 beta update adds an adaptive timeout option next to the screen timeout option in the display settings. It is said that if the device is not in use, it will automatically turn off the screen. It is unclear if this feature is exclusive to Pixel smartphones. While the details of how it works are unclear, the report claims that the adaptive timeout feature can use the front-facing camera and proximity sensor to detect whether a Pixel smartphone is being used.
