Seven escapees from Dhanusha District Police Office arrested
KATHMANDU: Seven of the nine detainees who escaped from the District Police Office in Dhanusha have been apprehended. The escape occurred on Monday night when the inmates broke through the ventilation of their detention cell.
Satyam Jha, one of the escapees, was quickly caught by police in Janakchowk. Following that, three more detainees were arrested in a rice field in Lakhouri, near Vaidehi Station in Mithila Municipality.
The arrested individuals include Roshan Kumar Mandal, 24, charged with drug offenses; Abhashkar Kumar Yadav, 33, from Siraha Municipality; and Bikki Karki, 22, from Janakpur, who faces charges of misbehavior. Others arrested are Amit Kumar Jha, Ranjit Mandal, and Sumit Mester.
As of now, two escapees, Manish Mandal and Bishal Mukiya, remain at large.
The police have launched a search operation in various locations to locate the remaining detainees.
