Man arrested for assaulting female police officer at Supreme Court during interrogation
KATHMANDU: A man has been arrested for misbehaving with a female police officer at the Supreme Court. Luma Choudhary, 28, an employee at Lincoln Law Firm in Maitighar, Kathmandu, was taken into custody on Monday afternoon following the incident.
According to Superintendent of Police Nabraj Adhikari, Choudhary was arrested after he assaulted a female officer stationed at the Supreme Court. The confrontation occurred when Choudhary was speaking with Supreme Court bench assistant Devi Prasad Pradhan about obtaining a copy of Chhatra Prasad Luitel's writ petition judgment.
An investigation into the incident has been launched, and Choudhary has been transferred to Singha Durbar for further proceedings.
