6 girls rescued from Guesthouse in Koteshwar
KATHMANDU: Six girls were rescued from a guesthouse in Koteshwar by the Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau of Nepal Police. Acting on a tip-off about the girls' involvement in anti-social activities, the police intervened at the Ramechhap Khajaghar and Guesthouse last night.
According to Gautam Mishra, the information officer at the Bureau, the operation was carried out after reports indicated the girls were being forced into anti-social work. The guesthouse, operated by Nabin Thapa from Ramechhap, was the site of the rescue.
Thapa, along with Ujjwal Khadka from Kageshwori Manohara, Kathmandu, has been detained on charges of involvement in illegal activities.
