The NRB will release its monetary policy today.
Today is the scheduled announcement day for the monetary policy of the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) for the fiscal year 2024–2025.
The NRB Board of Directors will meet this morning before the release to the public. The announcement was delayed when Dr. Yuvraj Khatiwada was named the Prime Minister's economic advisor. It was initially scheduled for last Friday.
This new development resulted in a delay in the policy's release.
During a vote of confidence earlier this week, Prime Minister KP Oli emphasized the significance of monetary policy flexibility. He also pledged to support other economic sectors and emphasized the stock market's recent resurgence of energy in the wake of the election of a new administration.
