Pinnit Android app lets you search through your notification history
The notification drawer on Android can be both useful and distracting because of the sheer number of notifications that come in. You have to manage per-app notifications better through settings or set up a system to avoid missing important updates. The Pinnit app helps you check missed notifications using the notification history feature and also lets you create custom notifications.
The app was created by Indian Android developer Sasikanth Miriyampally and Brazilian designer Eduardo Pratti. The application will be released for the first time in 2020, and users will be able to fix the task to the notification bar so that they will not forget.
Currently, developers propose a redesign version of Pinnit, which has a history of notification as one of the main functions of the application. This allows you to view and search all rejected notifications, with the option to sort notifications by newest or oldest. Additionally, you can filter out notifications for specific apps for a cleaner viewing experience. You can also view notifications using a date picker.
"The original plan for the app was to support notification history, but this was not possible at the time. However, we built a new version of the app from scratch to include this feature along with dynamic themes and a new user interface," Miriyampalli told TechCrunch over email. The idea behind this app was that in the sea of notifications people tend to miss reminders and important tasks.
Pinnit allows users to create persistent notifications that they never want to forget about existing notifications, without losing the original content. The app also lets you create custom notifications in terms of title and description, like reminders.
You can use this to pin missed calls or emails that you want to respond to later with a notification. You can also integrate the ongoing sports match notification so that you can track the score only by tapping. User notifications are currently behaving like a girl, but the developers want to do more in the future.
Miriyampalli said that, in the coming months, the developers plan to add new features such as location-based reminders, word filtering for notifications in privacy settings, app widgets, and support for large-screen devices.
