Sompal Kami and His Connection To Punjab
Kami is connected to Patiala. Thapa, whose family is from Gulmi, Lumbini, relocated to the Punjabi area in 1984 in search of employment.
He first worked as a hotel security guard there until being hired by PSPCL. As a result, Kami had the opportunity to practice at the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports until he was chosen to represent his nation.
"Kami trained at NIS Patiala from a young age, but we were unaware of his talent until later in life. However, he was chosen for Nepal, and a year later, Thapa stated, he was chosen for the 2014 T20 World Cup.
When players like Kami think back on their trip to the World Cup, it highlights the strong bonds that exist between India and the country.
Gyanendra Malla, the team's previous captain, commended their performance despite losing against South Africa, highlighting his sense of pride in watching them play.
