KATHMANDU: In Sunsari district, 78% of the paddy plantation has been successfully completed on arable land as of July 17. This year's progress marks a significant improvement compared to last year, where only 52% of the plantation was achieved by July 15.
The timely commencement of the monsoon season has been vital in guaranteeing excellent progress in paddy plantations this year, according to the Agriculture Knowledge Center of the Ministry of Industry, Agriculture, and Cooperatives in Madhesh Province. Nil Kamal Singh, the head of Sunsari's Agriculture Knowledge Center, credited the plantation's success to the good monsoon season.
The remaining paddy plantation is also proceeding smoothly, with expectations that an additional seven percent will be completed by the end of this month. This year's timely monsoon has alleviated concerns among farmers, allowing them to carry out their plantation activities effectively.
