Bodies recovered from Air Dynasty helicopter crash sent for postmortem at TUTH
KATHMANDU: The remains of the five individuals that were recovered at the crash site of the Air Dynasty helicopter at Shivapuri Rural Municipality-7, Nuwakot, will be taken for postmortem examination to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Maharajgunj. On Wednesday afternoon, the chopper, registered 9N-AJD, crashed when it was en route from Kathmandu to Rasuwa. It lost contact with authorities just three minutes after departing Kathmandu at 1:54 PM.
DSP Tilak Bharati of the Nuwakot District Police Office reports that the pilot, two men, and one woman are among the bodies that have been found. TUTH will also investigate the fifth body, which is unrecognizable and extensively burned.
