YouTube Music is testing an AI-powered 'Ask for Music' feature that lets users search for music using spoken prompts and voice commands. User can also search by describing music videos or ask for similar music for a song or artist. Compared to the existing voice command search, the AI-powered feature will make search more conversational. Moreover, it is expected that the new AI feature can replace the currently used voice search feature. Android Authority, an online consumer technology news outlet, spotted references to the new feature in the YouTube Music app for Android (version 7.06.53). The code, accessed by Android Authority, also comes with a disclaimer that says the AI-generated responses are experimental.

This feature can complement AI-generated playlist covers, the only AI feature currently available on YouTube Music. Google has been trying to build natural language support into its products, and this seems to be a step in that direction. This function has not been officially announced and it cannot be determined when it will be introduced. Users may be able to use these features in the next few days. The YouTube Music app may also get a new launch animation in the coming days, just like the YouTube app.

Previously, YouTube Music had a new feature that lets you find songs even if you don't remember the lyrics or title. Called "Hum to Search", this feature is now introduced to steps and will soon be available to all Android app. With this feature, Google Sound Flow Platform allows users to look for songs by humiliating, whistling or singing the melody. Moreover, you can play a recorded audio of the song to let the app identify it.
