Planet Coaster's slippery sequel allows you to create your own water park
The sequel to Roller Coaster is no longer just about building the best theme park: it's also about water parks. The sequel, launching this fall, finally lets you build everything from wave pools and lazy rivers to custom waterslides. You can also equip your aquatic experience in the dressing room, sunbed and lifeguards. Planet Coaster 2 can provide new experiences for your guests by adding new buildings and path tools and high -end activities. There are also new rides, scenery and themes.
Another neat feature of Roller Coaster 2 is the ability to create a shared amusement park with friends, although you cannot build in the park at the same time. The developers say you can jump into shared parks "one at a time" and then "save your progress so other thrill seekers can use your changes," which is a little disappointing.
Like its predecessor, Roller Coaster 2 will offer three game modes: Career Mode, Sandbox Mode, and Challenge Mode. It will also be available on PC, Xbox Series X | and PlayStation 5 later this year.
If you haven't tried Planet Coaster, Planet Zoo, or even Frontier Development's Jurassic World Evolution 2, I highly recommend them. You might not be able to avoid some of the things you can do in RollerCoaster (or Zoo) Tycoon, but it's also easy to get lost in them.
