Royal Bengal Tiger found dead in Nawalparasi, Nepal
KATHMANDU: A Royal Bengal Tiger was discovered deceased on the banks of the Binayi rivulet in Binayi Triveni rural municipality-2, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East). The female tiger was found lying lifeless on the rivulet's bank on Wednesday, as reported by Basanta Keshav Adhikari, Chief of the Division Forest Office.
According to Adhikari, locals alerted authorities after witnessing the tiger drinking water from the Binayi rivulet and then collapsing after walking a short distance. Upon receiving the information, a team from the Division Forest Office and the police promptly responded to the scene and confirmed the tiger's demise.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Ved Bahadur Paudel at the District Police Office stated that the tiger exhibited a wound on its hind side resembling a bite from a wild animal. The deceased tiger has been transported to the Sub-division Forest Office Dumkibas for a post-mortem examination. This marks the third Royal Bengal Tiger death in Bardaghat Susta East over the past three months.
