PM Oli pledges compensation for families of children killed in Panchthar IED explosion
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has sent his sincere condolences following the tragic loss of two children in an IED blast in Panchthar two weeks ago. In his statement to the House of Representatives (HoR) today, he conveyed his condolences and pledged financial support for the families of the victims.
PM Oli announced that the government would compensate each of the explosion-affected families with Rs 500,000. He also promised that the injured people's medical bills will be paid for by the government.
Two siblings lost their lives and three others were injured in the August 29 event, which happened in Prangbung, Phalelung rural municipality-5. The youngsters who passed away were recognized as 2-year-old Prinsa Sanwa and 11-year-old Dipsan Sanwa.
In addition to providing financial support to the grieving family, Prime Minister Oli underlined that the government will see to it that the event was thoroughly investigated. This action is a component of the government's attempt to effectively confront and respond to such unfortunate occurrences.
