PM Natural Disaster Relief Fund surpasses Rs 1.74 billion mark with generous contributions
KATHMANDU: As of October 16, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers reported that the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund had increased its total value to about Rs 1.74 billion. This fund is meant to help Nepali survivors of natural catastrophes.
A variety of institutional and private donors have contributed to the fund, demonstrating the cooperation in aiding individuals impacted by such calamities.
The Salt Trading Corporation donated Rs 6.1 million, the Non-Resident Nepali Association donated Rs 5.1 million, and Rastriya Samachar Samiti donated Rs 326,038 on October 16.
The Nepal Police Wives Association, Nepal Insurance Company, and the Electricity Generation Company are among the other institutions that have contributed to the relief fund, demonstrating widespread support for the project.
These donations demonstrate a robust community reaction to help those affected by the area's natural disasters by offering resources and support.
