Nepal's Public Procurement Office blacklists 4 construction firms for project delays
KATHMANDU: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office, operating under the Prime Minister’s Office, has taken strict measures against four construction companies from different districts, blacklisting them due to prolonged delays in project completion.
In an official notification issued today (Wednesday), the office announced that these companies will be prohibited from participating in government contracts for varying periods, ranging from six months to two years. This decision comes after repeated warnings and recommendations from multiple agencies regarding the necessity of their blacklisting.
The affected companies include BS Bhairabh Shakti Nirman Sewa from Doti, Masta JBD Conduction Engineering based in Kathmandu, and Bhatinda Ceramics (P) Ltd. The office has strongly advised against initiating any new agreements or transactions with these blacklisted entities throughout the specified duration of their sanction.
