Melamchi water diversion to Kathmandu begins following successful talks
KATHMANDU: The Water Treatment Center in Sundarijal in Kathmandu will receive water from the Melamchi River as of right now. Following talks between the Melamchi Struggle Committee and Pradeep Yadav, the Minister of Drinking Water, an important decision was reached.
To interact directly with the struggle committee and community members, Minister Yadav traveled to Melamchi in the Helambu Rural Municipality. His goal in coming was to start a conversation and listen to the worries of those who are part of the water supply campaign.
Minister Yadav oversaw a group that made a commitment to make sure Melamchi water will get to Kathmandu residents in time for the Dashain celebration during the visit. This pledge emphasizes how critical it is to quickly provide the populace with safe water.
