Landslide claims one life in Pokhara
KATHMANDU: Early this morning, a devastating landslide tragically claimed the life of 22-year-old Bhim Bahadur Thapa in Pokhara Metropolis-27. Deputy Superintendent of Police Basant Kumar Sharma reported that Thapa's residence in Sahelapata was buried under debris due to heavy rainfall in the Pokhara Valley since Tuesday evening.
Fortunately, Kamala Thapa, aged 50, was rescued alive from the rubble. The rescue effort was coordinated by a team from the Area Police Office in Sishuwa, with support from local residents and the Armed Police Force, as detailed by DSP Sharma.
