Indian sales manager dies at hotel in Biratnagar
KATHMANDU: Deepak Kumar Sah, a 35-year-old Indian national from Purnia, Bihar, was found dead in his room at the Eastern Star Hotel in Biratnagar. According to DSP Ved Prakash Joshi of the Morang District Police Office, Sah had spent the previous evening with friends at a dinner event and was discovered lifeless the next morning.
Siyaram, an Indian textile manufacturer, hosted a refreshment event for 25 of its sales managers in Biratnagar, where Sah worked as a sales manager. Before going to their rooms on Wednesday night, the party had a cocktail meal at the hotel.
Sah's buddies called the police when he didn't wake up the following morning. Officers arrived and verified that he had died in his bed. DSP Joshi said his colleagues were startled and surprised by Sah's untimely death.
According to preliminary inquiries, the group's lodging, food, and beverages were all planned at the hotel. Although it hasn't been verified, police believe excessive alcohol use may be the cause of death.
Sah's family has been notified about the event by the authorities. Before moving on with additional legal procedures, such as a post-mortem examination that will shed more light on the cause of death, the police are awaiting the arrival of his family.
DSP Joshi pointed out that it's still unknown if Sah had any underlying medical conditions. The circumstances behind his unexpected death are still being investigated, and more information will be provided as soon as the family and medical reports are available.
