Government offices reopen in Kathmandu as post-Dashain activities resume
KATHMANDU: Following the end of the Bada Dashain public holidays, which had been in place since the day of Phulpati, government offices have reopened today.
The offices had been closed during the five-day holiday that the government had announced for the Dashain celebrations.
There has been a noticeable increase in movement and activity in Kathmandu, the federal capital, since the offices reopened.
About 1.3 million people traveled outside of the Kathmandu Valley this year to take part in the Dashain celebrations.
