Government announces temporary reopening of Dharahara from September 19
KATHMANDU: The recently built Dharahara in Sundhara, Kathmandu, will temporarily reopen to the public on September 19, according to an announcement made by the government. During a Thursday Cabinet meeting, this decision was taken.
Constitution Day falls on the same day as the reopening, making it a momentous occasion for the country. After being completely devastated in the 2015 earthquake, the Dharahara has been repaired and will be open to the public for a little time.
Constitution Day and the monument's repair are being commemorated with this temporary reopening, which seeks to let the public view and enjoy the renovated landmark.
