Led by Ventures Platform, the seed round also saw participation from Seedstars International Ventures, Reflect Ventures, Oui Capital, Launch Africa, Voltron Capital, and Alumni Ventures. Maad's platform connects informal retailers directly with suppliers, addressing issues like stockouts and high inventory costs. With a focus on logistics and a growing network of 6,500 active retailers and 80 suppliers, Maad aims to expand coverage within Senegal and enter new Francophone markets while introducing buy now, pay later service.
