Communities compete to construct ziplines
A wave of zipline construction has swept over Gulmi locale as local governments have accorded need to zipline projects over other improvement initiatives.
Chhatrakot Rural Municipality introduced a recently developed zipline as of late. The local body said that the office will pull in both domestic and universal tourists. The 1,080-metre-long zipline extends from the premises of Devalaya Temple to Devi Bhagawati Temple in Ward No. 3 of Chhatrakot.
Built at a cost of Rs. 8.67 million, the extend was financed jointly by Lumbini Province and the Chhatrakot Rural Region. Chairperson of Chhatrakot, Ram Prasad Pandey, communicated certainty that the zipline's interesting treat of all-encompassing views of the Himalayas, slopes, and the Tarai fields would draw critical numbers of domestic tourists.
Similarly, Resunga Region is progressing its claim zipline project.
According to IT Officer of the nearby body, Suresh Khanal, the proposed 400-metre zipline will begin from Garjura's water tank and arrive inside a park. With an assessed taken a toll of Rs. 15 million, 75 per cent of it is being financed through Lumbini Province Chief Minister’s Innovation Organization Program whereas the rest 25 per cent speculation will be made from the budget of Resunga Municipality.
Meanwhile, Rurukshetra Rural Municipality is in a stage to complete detailed project report (DPR) for a zipline interfacing Gulmi and Syangja locale. Chairperson of Rurukshetra, Yadu Gyawali said that the zipline has a potential to upgrade the by and large improvement of Rurukshetra, which is both a religious and tourist destination.
