Kesrick Williams warns Tanzim Hasan Sakib over giving harsh send off to Virat Kohli
Tanzim Hasan Sakib garnered a lot of attention during India's final Super Eight match of the T20 World Cupversus Bangladesh after he gave star batsman Virat Kohli a heated farewell.
After Kohli stepped out to put the ball through the off-side, Sakib cleaned him, and the latter gave him a send-off while bursting into an angry celebration. The party quickly gained popularity on social media.
The West Indies bowler Kesrick Williams has finally responded to the event. For those who don't know, Williams was the bowler who, after giving the India batsman an equally brutal send-off in 2017, was the target of Kohli's breathtaking onslaught.
Williams gained notoriety for his peculiar celebrations when he was a regular for the West Indies; he would allegedly take out an imaginary notebook, write the name of the batter he removed, then cross it off the list.
When the team traveled to India a few months later, the pacer's celebration against Kohli during a limited-overs series in the West Indies didn't go over well with him.
In a T20 International match against Williams, Kohli blasted 32 runs off of the 12 deliveries he faced and then celebrated with a notebook.
Williams responded to a joke on Sunday in which an altered picture of Williams appeared to advise Tanzim to brace for a similar Kohli attack. As he noted, "Kez 2-1 Kohli," it was an odd response from the West Indian.
