Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun revealed plans to introduce a strategic partner into Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) during the fiscal year 2081/82 budget presentation
A plan is hence set to introduce a strategic partner into the national flag carrier, pointing toward a possible change in operational landscape. This would make the strategy more comprehensive with a view to increasing efficiency and competitiveness of NAC, in line with the commitment of the government to strengthen the aviation sector for its transport infrastructure growth with sustainability in Nepal.
In a bid to restore NAC's operations, the government invited a strategic partner to inject much-needed expertise, resource mobilization, and—more significantly—to bring in independent strategic insights into aviation worldwide. This strategic partnership shall steer the growth trajectory of NAC with renewed momentum, stimulate innovation, and improve the quality of services—all while the corporation becomes sustainably viable for long-term economic development in Nepal.
