KATHMANDU: Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Beijing for talks with Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, highlighting the deepening strategic partnership between the two nations and their shared opposition to the United States' dominance. This visit, Putin's first foreign trip since his recent re-election, underscores the importance of China in Russia's foreign policy agenda and the strength of personal ties between the leaders.

The partnership between Russia and China, declared as "no limits" in February 2022, has been emphasized by Putin, who commended Xi for fostering a strong relationship based on mutual trust and national interests.
