RPP Chairman Lingden criticizes Nepali Congress and CPN-UML for failing to ensure stability
KATHMANDU: Rajendra Lingden, Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), strongly criticized the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML during a session of the House of Representatives (HoR) for their failure to ensure political stability in Nepal.
Lingden expressed his party’s intention to vote against Prime Minister KP Oli, citing the ongoing instability despite the significant majority held by the communist parties. He noted that even with their dominance, the stability of the government has been inconsistent.
He also criticized the Nepali Congress, mentioning its historical inability to maintain stability despite securing majorities. Lingden argued that the current political environment is marked by fragmentation and intrigue, questioning why governments have struggled to complete their terms even with strong majorities.
Furthermore, Lingden called for reforms in the electoral and appointment processes outlined in the constitution, advocating against the appointment of party affiliates to judicial positions to ensure a more stable and impartial governance structure.
