PM KP Oli highlights technology as key to achieving prosperous Nepal
KATHMANDU: In a speech on the celebration of the 12th National Science Day, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli emphasized the critical role that the science and technology sector plays in realizing the national aim of a "Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali". He emphasized the sector's significance in achieving the goals of development and advancement of the country.
Though Nepal formerly had a distinctive educational system that promoted science, Oli noted that the nation has not carried on this heritage in the present era. She also discussed Nepal's historical accomplishments in education. He placed great emphasis on the necessity of reviving and advancing the scientific discovery tradition.
The Prime Minister asserted that the government recognizes science and technology as essential to accelerating development and construction activities. He stressed that these fields are central to implementing various developmental projects efficiently.
Oli also emphasized how dedicated the government is to incorporating science and technology into programs related to education and development. In order to realize this goal, he argued for fortifying and enhancing the current systems inside the research and technology industry.
The government intends to establish a high-level commission with the responsibility of creating and carrying out a reorganization plan for scientific and technology organizations in order to further these objectives. The objective of this project is to improve the sector's efficiency and conformity to national development objectives.
The government has also set aside money for youth-focused projects, innovation and start-up programs, and research and entrepreneurship. Oli emphasized the significance of utilizing technology and research to create evidence-based policies and initiatives.
