Nepal's HoR to pass 2024/25 budget on June 21
KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled to pass the budget for the next fiscal year 2024/25 on June 21. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat's fortnightly parliamentary calendar, the Appropriation Bill will be presented to the House for a decision on that date.
Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun presented a Rs 1.8603 trillion budget on May 28. General discussions on the budget have already concluded, and the focus has now shifted to ministerial budgets.
Today, the parliamentary agenda includes discussions on the budgets for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, and Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development. These discussions will continue until June 21, when the budget is expected to be approved.
