Kathmandu Valley sees temperature drop to 15 degrees celsius
KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division reports that as of today, October 15, the temperature in the Kathmandu Valley has decreased to 15 degrees Celsius.
This is a drop of more than 2 degrees Celsius in a single day compared to Monday's minimum temperature of 17.2 degrees Celsius.
Significantly, Sunday's minimum temperature was considerably lower, at 14.7 degrees Celsius, which was indicative of the region's continued cooling trend.
Temperatures are progressively dropping nationwide as the monsoon season comes to an end and post-monsoon conditions take hold, according to meteorologist Bishnu Ghimire.
In meteorological terms, the highest temperature recorded in a 24-hour period is referred to as the maximum temperature, while the lowest is termed the minimum temperature.
Typically, the minimum temperature is documented at 8:45 a.m., and the maximum temperature is measured at 5:45 p.m. each day.
