Former king Gyanendra set for private visit to Bhutan next week
KATHMANDU: Next week, former King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah is scheduled to travel to Bhutan on a private visit, his press secretary Dr. Phani Raj Pathak has announced. The visit is planned to take place following the start of the Naurata (Dashain) celebration.
It is anticipated that the former monarch will be traveling for three or four days. It is expected that he would return to Nepal before the Dashain Tika ritual, which brings the festival to an end.
In order to preserve the former King's privacy about his travel arrangements, specifics of his schedule have not been made public.
