DoTM resolves issues with electronic driving license system
KATHMANDU: The electronic Driving License (eDL) system, which has been having technical difficulties for the past few days, has been fixed by the Department of Transport Management (DoTM). The system is currently operating regularly, according to the DoTM, after the technical staff worked hard to resolve the disruption.
Ishwari Datta Paneru, an information officer at the DoTM, confirmed that the eDL system is back online and operational. Additionally, the department is working on resolving issues with the Electronic Vehicle Registration System (EVRS), which also faced disruptions.
The DoTM's server issues were cited as the main cause of the recent problems. The electronic license processes, including online systems and printing, are managed by Madras Security Printers of India. The department noted that incomplete systems and delays in maintenance and updates contributed to the disruptions.
