Another body recovered from Narayani River in East Nawalparasi reaching 15 bodies recovered
KATHMANDU: The District Police Office, Nawalpur, has reported the discovery of a second body near the Narayani River in Gaindakot Municipality-7 (East Nawalparasi), which is believed to be that of a passenger from one of the busses that washed into the Trishuli River. The identity of the individual whose body was discovered buried in the sand is still unknown.
With this discovery, the total number of recovered bodies now stands at 15, while the whereabouts of 47 passengers remain unknown. The incident involved two buses carrying a total of 65 passengers, with three passengers narrowly surviving by swimming across the Trishuli River.
Search and recovery efforts continue as authorities work to identify the remaining missing passengers and provide closure to their families affected by this tragic event.
