2 arrested in Birgunj for possession of counterfeit Nepali currency
KATHMANDU: Last night, police in Birgunj Metropolitan City-9, situated along the Ghantaghar road, apprehended two individuals for possessing 123 counterfeit Nepali 1000 rupee notes. The arrested individuals have been identified as Kamudin Mian, aged 30, hailing from West Champaran, and Halima Khatun, aged 40, from Bara Prasauni Rural Municipality-2.
The Ward Police Office Birta conducted the arrest after intercepting the suspects who were attempting to cross from India into Nepal with the forged currency. Investigations into the incident are currently ongoing.
