Samsung Unpacked Summer 2024: What to Expect, From the Galaxy Z Fold 6 to AI and More
Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked summer event is less than two weeks away, and rumors are swirling about upcoming products. The company may unveil new foldable phones, headphones, smartwatches and, perhaps most importantly, share details about its long-awaited Galaxy Ring health wearable. We're also hoping to hear updates on Galaxy AI, the phone maker's suite of artificial intelligence-powered software features.
How to watch the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event
Samsung will broadcast the event live on the company's website, Samsung Newsroom and YouTube channel starting at 6:00 a.m. PT (9:00 a.m. ET) on July 10. The company also posted an animated invitation on its YouTube channel, which shows a 3D cube rotating at one of its corners on a flat surface, which then projects the silhouette of the Eiffel Tower and the Galaxy AI logo.
Galaxy AI is being updated
In its official invitation to the event, which the company sent out on Tuesday, Samsung wrote: "The next frontier of Galaxy AI is approaching."
Galaxy AI, which Samsung debuted earlier this year, is designed to improve and simplify various tasks such as image editing and searching. As more phone makers from Apple to Google tout their AI products, Samsung will surely continue to expand its efforts in this area. In fact, Galaxy AI's prominence on the invitation suggests it will likely dominate the keynote. The invitation also stated that "the power to discover the Galaxy AI, now introduces the latest Galaxy Z series, and the whole Galaxy -ecosystem \" -i points out that the next generation, folding and flip -efficient devices, will also be effective devices open.
New bending
Samsung usually has two unpacking activities each year. One in January or February, the latest Galaxy range was opened during this period, while the other discovered that one in the summer was focused on the folding card. Therefore, we will probably see the debut of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 at this event.
As previously reported by 9to5Google, leaker Evan Blass shared images of what the devices will look like. Z Fold 6 appears to have a wider vertical and horizontal relationship between internal and external screens, and the limit on the external display is thinner. It is said to have silver and dark blue. The Z Flip 6 is rumored to come in light blue and silver colors and may come with a titanium frame. (Later information leaked by WinFuture also showed the Z Fold 6 to be pink and the Z Flip 6 to be green and yellow.)
More details about Galaxy Ring
We finally know more about the long-awaited Galaxy Ring, which Samsung teased at its Unpacked event in January and showed off a prototype at this year's Mobile World Congress. As Samsung continues its foray into digital health, it will need to differentiate itself from rivals like the Oura Ring, as CNET's Patrick Holland notes. It has the ability to do this by leveraging its brand reputation (if you already love your Samsung phone and/or smartwatches, you might be drawn to the Galaxy Ring too) and by making the Galaxy Ring more affordable. (The start price of the URA ring is about $ 300 and subscribes to $ 6 per month.) We can understand the final specifications, prices and availability of this summer's unpacking activities.
