Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra benchmarked with a new chipset
While there are rumors that Samsung will launch a new series of Galaxy tablets on Unboxing Day, no concrete list has been announced for Samsung's 2024 foldable tablet, the new Watch 7 series, the Galaxy Ring, and the new Buds 3 series. Therefore, the next version of the Galaxy Tab S10 series is expected in early 2025, probably together with the Galaxy S25 series that we are used to.
While no design changes are expected, Samsung will be doing some big upgrades to the processing power of its Galaxy S10 Ultra slate, in that it might be moving to a MediaTek chipset for them
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, in particular, has now appeared on Geekbench, and the testing platform seemingly reiterates that it will use a 4nm MediaTek chipset for processing power. In comparison, the current Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, also on the 4nm process, but using an earlier manufacturing method.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is said to be powered by a MediaTek 9300+ processor with a single-core score of 2,141 points and a multi-core score of 5,533 points, slightly higher than the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. Keep in mind that this is likely still a technical prototype of Samsung's giant 14.6-inch tablet with a fast, high-resolution OLED display, so when the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra hits shelves, it'll likely outperform in benchmark tests at the price because MediaTek's processor is cheaper than Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset.
