Google's new special offer halves the Pixel 8 Pro price.
Google's latest deal offers Pixel customers over 20% off the Pixel 8 and a third off the Pixel 8 Pro in the UK... with even bigger savings if they trade in their older phone.
The offer coincides with a similar deal in the US last week. The two phones are priced at $150 and $250 respectively in the Google Store. Until then, the US offer was tied to a Google One subscription. This is a direct discount available to all US customers. UK customers now have a similar chance to join the Pixel ecosystem.
A further discount is available if consumers trade in their old phone, with Google offering up to £650 depending on the model and condition you offer. With devices like the iPhone 14 Pro Max at a discount and Google phones at a discount, it's not only possible to get a new Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro for free, some consumers can also get their bundled money back.
Google offers trade-ins and discounts close to the list price of Pixel devices. With the launch of the Pixel 8a in May, Google discounted Pixel tablets and offered significant trade-in prices for older tablets. While this was a listing error, the company honoured all of its offers for older tablets.
Details on the upcoming Pixel 9 phones are coming out, but the next-generation Pixel handsets are not expected to be launched until early October, some four months away. It will be preceded by a wave of new phones, including Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, as well as Apple's iPhone 16 and 16 Pro series.
