Apple's next Mac Mini may be as tiny as an Apple TV
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple's smallest Mac has made major changes. The new version of the Mac mini, which was launched later this year, will be launched later this year, with the most important product conversion in ten years. "The device will be much smaller than its predecessor close to the size of the Apple TV kit -Top box."
The company has tested the design with three USB-C ports and HDMI output with "at least", which will keep its aluminum shell. A Mac Mini sitting inconspicuously on a TV stand? It sounds like a Plex lover's dream. According to reports, the Mini in 2024 will also be modernized by Apple M4 chips. The M4 debuted for the latest iPad Pro for the first time, but it will soon be expanded to the Mini, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, IMAC and Mac Studio. Apple last updated the Mac Mini in 2023 and has since offered two versions of the machine: One with the standard M2 chip inside, and the other with the more powerful M2 Pro. Gurman said the company will continue this approach with the next version, which will be available in M4 and M4 Pro configurations.
Bloomberg reports that suppliers are on track to ship the M4 hardware this month, but the M4 Pro Mini won't be ready until October. Apart from a few changes to the input/output and interior design, the Mini's overall appearance hasn't seen any major changes in a long time.
