The World Bank decided to lend the government $20 billion, while talks to borrow an additional $8 billion have been delayed.
The World Bank has agreed to lend the government twenty billion twelve billion rupees. The decision to accept the concessional financial assistance of US$150 million (20 billion 12 crores) under the Nepal Disaster Resilience Credit with Catastrophe Drawdown Option was made during the cabinet meeting on Sunday.
In a similar vein, the Council of Ministers has chosen to establish a negotiation team headed by the Joint Secretary of the Ministry in order to discuss taking an extra 134 million (18 billion 10 billion) in loan assistance for development that is inclusive, green, and inspiring. These two decisions are among the 23 that the Cabinet has taken. These are the choices made at Sunday's Cabinet meeting.
