Apple’s AI-powered Final Cut Pro 11 is now available
It's been 13 years since Apple released Final Cut That's several lifetimes in the consumer software world, leading some to wonder if the company has quietly washed its hands of the proposal.
After 13 years of waiting, Final Cut Pro is finally coming to version 11, and now Apple is not kidding around. Software can be downloaded on Wednesday. Existing users will receive the final cut pro 11 as a free update, but after the 90 -day test period, new customers will need to download $ 300 from the Mac App Store. So what exactly justified the long-awaited move to 11? Two letters: AI. Just weeks after shipping Apple Intelligence for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, the company is leveraging AI to power new features.
Topping the list is Magnetic Mask, which lets you easily crop out people or objects in your videos without having to rely on a green screen. "This powerful and accurate automatic analysis provides additional flexibility to set backgrounds and media," says Apple. "The editors can also combine the magnetic mask to the color correction and the video effect so that each project can accurately control and formalize each project."
Another main function based on artificial intelligence here is to send it under signature. It does what is essentially written in the box and adds text to a temporary final cut scale. The company says the feature is based on its internal Large Language Model (LLM).
The other big feature here focuses on Apple's struggling mixed reality headset. After adding opportunities to shoot spatial videos on the latter iPhone, this content can now be edited using final shrinkage. The person in charge can fix it in color, add the effect, and adjust the deep position of the name. While CEO Tim Cook acknowledged that a $3,500 headset isn't the consumer product the company wants, Apple is reportedly working on a more affordable model.
The Vision Pro can capture spatial video itself, just like the iPhone 15 Pro and all iPhone 16 models. Canon also recently released a new dual lens to capture the format in the R7. The new Final Cut also introduces some time-saving features. Magnetic Timeline, for example, is a way to quickly rearrange clips, while keeping audio in sync with video. Apple says Final Cut Pro 11 was designed specifically for its proprietary silicon, the M series of chips. This includes a function that reproduces the simultaneous video stream from Pores 4K and 8K.
In addition to the long -awaited arrival of Pro 11, Apple generates an iPad 2.1 final cut Pro. The touch -based interface is a improvement in light and color, improving work experience. Starting Wednesday, this version will also be available as a free download for existing users.
