YouTube Premium Plans and Sharing Benefits are in the works
A new YouTube Premium subscription will be released soon, along with expansion into other regions.
Details are scarce, but YouTube said in a blog post about the community: "We're committed to giving members more plan choices by expanding existing offerings to more regions, while introducing new offerings and exploring ways to share benefits with friends. The way forward."
YouTube Premium currently offers three monthly subscriptions: $13.99 for individuals, $22.99 for families, and $7.99 for students. The individual annual plan is priced at $139.99.

With YouTube Premium, you can skip the ads, download content to view later, play videos in the background while using other apps or with your screen locked, and stream ad-free music via the YouTube Music app.
That list of YouTube Premium perks is set to get longer. In a separate blog post, YouTube laughed at the ability to watch YouTube shorts in the image mode and jumped to the most popular video using AI -led Jump. The "Jump" feature is used for Android users in the United States and will be used in the coming weeks.
