Threads is currently testing a post scheduling feature
Meta’s social platform, Threads,is currently testing a new feature that enables users to schedule posts, according to Instagram head Adam Mosseri. However, the option to schedule replies will not be included in this functionality. Mosseri emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between allowing users to plan their posts and fostering real-time interactions on the platform.
For those selected to try out the feature, a scheduling option will appear in the composer’s three-dot menu. Scheduled posts will be stored in the drafts folder, where users can edit, delete, or adjust the timing of their posts. This feature has reportedly been in development for months, aligning with earlier reports from app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, who noted progress on this functionality several times throughout the year.
In related updates, Instagram recently introduced the ability to schedule direct messages, building on its existing feature for scheduling main feed posts. Threads’ growth continues to impress, with CEO Mark Zuckerberg announcing that the platform now boasts over 100 million daily active users and 300 million monthly active users.
